Service Delivery Manager

Job Description:

The JHC Technology family is looking for its next great leader! We’re actively on the hunt for a Service Delivery Manager to compliment the Engineers, Developers, Administrators, and Analysts that provide innovation to our customers. The JHC Technology Service Delivery Manager is a key cog in the management of day-to-day operations across a portfolio of projects. On any given day, you could be supporting customer trying to integrate DevOps tool chains, migrate web sites, move enterprise computing to the Cloud, or helping represent JHC Technology at high visibility industry events.

Our SDMs will resolve technical problems, manage team performance, mentor resources, track finances, and review resource allocation and quality daily. Because of the high level of interaction with clients, employees, and management, our next SDM will be an outgoing problem solver with customer service and management experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accountable and responsible for managing assigned portfolio of Service Delivery Engagements
    o Troubleshooting technical issues
    o Ensuring that service agreements and timelines are met
    o Assisting with contract renewal
    o Ensuring resource allocation across portfolio aligns with contract terms and limitations

  • Regularly reports on an assigned portfolio, including Customer Satisfaction, financials, resource allocation, etc.
  • Provides single point of escalation for each customer in their portfolio
  • Fosters an environment within their portfolio where our customers trust JHC Technology to continue building our support within their organizations
  • Working closely with our Account Executives to identify where we can improve delivery to a customer, where we can enhance delivery to a customer, and how we can expand our opportunities with a customer, including how these aspects fit within contractual constraints
  • Manages and approves time and attendance for all resources within their portfolio, owns the holistic TSheets approval process on a rotating basis
  • Provides effective back-up duties for fellow SDMs
  • Participates in regular Service Delivery Leadership Meetings
  • Have a broad knowledge and direct involvement with the planning, development and implementations of their respective portfolio

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Engineer/Architect
  • Proven experience leading projects and managing resources
  • 2+ years of experience with disruptive technology: Cloud, DevOps, Virtualization, AI, or Big Data are great starts, but it isn’t a comprehensive list of disruptive technologies!
  • Certifications in DevOps/Cloud Architecture desired
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience desired
  • Experience in leading sprint-based project delivery
