Chief Executive Officer
Craig Atkinson is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of JHC Technology. He served honorably in the US Army in support of Signals Intelligence missions as a Morse Intercept Operator and Chinese Linguist (Mandarin). Craig has nearly two decades of experience in working across the government and commercial sector, delivering innovative, secure solutions at enterprise scale. He has focused on security, cloud and mobility solutions for Government agencies such as the Departments of Justice, Commerce, Defense, and Treasury, and clients such as the World Bank and United Nations. He has been a featured panelist at the NIST Cloud Industry Day, serves on the AWS Partner Advisory Board, and has served on the AWS Customer Advisory Panel to offer expertise on Government cloud implementations.
Mr. Atkinson is a leader in AWS, dating back to 2009, when he and JHC co-founder James Hirmas paired to architect and deploy the first Government website on public cloud infrastructure. That project, Recovery.gov, combined SharePoint on AWS and included a fully configured test and development environment delivered nine days from contract award. Since that time, Mr. Atkinson has continued to lead Government agencies in adopting AWS, from the development of roadmaps to the deployment of FISMA Moderate solutions.His guidance helped deliver one of the first accredited enterprise-wide data center migrations to the cloud.
Previously, Mr. Atkinson managed one of the largest and fastest data center migrations and mobile device deployments in the Federal Government, where more than 43,000 accounts and 20,000 devices were migrated and deployed worldwide for the FBI in less than five months. Additionally, he archited and deployed the FBI’s first production virtual server environment and led the introduction of secure mobile devices to the DEA as early as 2004.
Chief Operating Officer
Hemant Datta is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, and has also served as our Chief Financial Officer. Hemant is an enterprise architect with extensive experience in the areas of Microsoft SharePoint technologies, system architecture, database engineering, and application design and administration.
Hemant’s background adhering to CMMI and PMP standards ensure delivery of projects to the highest levels of success. Hemant has more than 15 years of enterprise engineering experience. He has been involved in a diverse range of technology projects across multiple industries ranging from network infrastructure, systems architecture, development, full life-cycle implementation to systems integration solutions with industry leading technologies.
At the FBI, Hemant was the Deputy Lead on one of the largest and fastest data center migrations and Blackberry deployments, where over 43,000 accounts and 20,000 BlackBerry devices were deployed around the world. While at Booz Allen Hamilton, he led the efforts of architecting and implementing the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s SharePoint intranet and extranet portal environments, providing both document management and collaboration tools. Hemant has a Masters in Information Technology from Virginia Tech and an MBA from George Washington University.
James Hirmas is co-founder and former CEO of JHC Technology. He served honorably in the US Army in support of Signals Intelligence missions as an Intelligence Analyst. James is an Information Technology Subject Matter Expert with almost 20 years of diverse Engineering, Architecture, Development, and Analytic experience with a focus in AWS and SharePoint solutions and technologies. James has SharePoint Engineering and Architectural experience in a wide array of commercial and government enterprise deployments.
Prior to forming JHC Technology, James managed the design and implementation of Recovery.gov, the first government public facing website built on AWS. James has also led, architected, and deployed major AWS implementations for clients such as the US Geological Service, International Trade Administration, United Nations, Amazon.com, Capital One, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. James currently serves as CEO of GenomeNext, which delivers intelligent translational bioinformatics solutions to the healthcare industry.
Matt Jordan has been with JHC Technology since October 2012, providing Business Development, Capture Management, Proposal Management, and Project Management across the organization. Matt has focused his efforts on building and delivering high-quality cloud and collaboration solutions to Federal Clients, Commercial Clients, and Non-Profit Clients, helping spearhead to a four-fold increase in full-time staff. These projects include delivery of virtual desktops, cloud infrastructure, database architecture, and disaster recovery solutions.
As head of the Corporate Strategy & Development unit, Matt’s focus is on the overall growth of JHC. CS&D is directly responsible for JHC’s client engagement activities, bid and capture management, strategic account development, and quality control. CS&D also supports our critical partnerships, including relationships with AWS and Microsoft, as well as dozens of small and large businesses with which JHC delivers solutions.
Before joining JHC Technology, Matt was an International Trade Compliance Analyst with the International Trade Administration before spending time as an IT Specialist with the agency.
Matt has Bachelors Degrees in Business and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh as well as Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College. He is a Certified AWS Solution Architect and ITIL practitioner.
Joshua Dirsmith joined JHC in May 2016 to lead Service Delivery across our Customer Portfolio. Josh leverages nearly two decades of service delivery experience earned by serving the Government in various capacities. He was introduced to IT Service Management as a Tactical Data Network Specialist for the U.S. Marine Corps, continued to refine his expertise as a Sr. Program Manager for the Dept. of Justice and as a Service Delivery Executive for a large Federal Systems Integrator to facilitate the utilization of repeatable processes and service excellence for JHC Customers.
Josh has led both pursuit and delivery efforts for cross-domain, ITAR-controlled VDI implementations, enterprise cloud and management efforts, network/systems redesign and migration projects, enterprise client and mobility refresh initiatives, ITIL® process implementation engagements, and Service Desk support.
As head of the JHC Technology Service Delivery Practice, Josh’s core mission is to empower JHC personnel to provide quality services to our customers and ensure complete satisfaction with our people, processes and products. As a secondary function, Josh initiated and leads our ITIL® Training Practice, which will enable our customers and partners to leverage his expertise to attain Foundation, Intermediate and Expert-level ITIL certifications for their respective organizations. By leveraging this Service Management expertise, he will ensure that JHC processes are continuously evaluated and improved holistically as well as validate each solution provided to our customers to confirm that all past knowledge gained by JHC resources on previous engagements is infused into the delivery of each new opportunity. As a tertiary function, Josh is our Insider Threat Program Senior Official; assisting JHC to maintain compliance with Government mandates related to insider threat.
Josh has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management Information Systems with a Minor in International Business from the Pennsylvania State University. He maintains several active certifications, including ITIL Expert and Project Management Professional.
