SENIOR AIML CLOUD ENGINEER

Job Summary:

We’ve got our eyes set on the next Senior AIML Cloud Engineer to join our team in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. This employee is going to play a pivotal role, guiding and overseeing technical implementation activities for one of our highest profile customers. The right person for this role is going to have a broad and verifiable background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and AWS Cloud, including at least one AWS professional certification –as well as experience with industry leading tools.

We’re looking for our Senior AIML Cloud Engineer to be focused on implementing AIML services in AWS Cloud through best practices, including but not limited to, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and other architectural standards to ensure rapid adoption and migration efficiency. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Service Delivery and Account Executive Teams to ensure end-to-end coverage.

In this role, you’ll be a part of the Service Delivery team, a fast-moving group of tech enthusiasts that is pushing our clients to be on the cutting edge of technology. As a Senior AIML Cloud Engineer, you will be called on to provide support to our customers around innovative solutions with a keen focus on security. The right candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with AIML and AWS Cloud and will be prepared to work on-site as required and directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the client’s development and data science teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs and design AIML solutions that make the best use of the AWS cloud platform and AWS AIML Services including but not limited to: Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Lex, Amazon Sagemaker, Amazon Kendra, the other AWS AI services, and Frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

  • Help define AIML Use Cases and Success Criteria

  • Architect and operate AIML solutions built on AWS services

  • Monitor, measure, and report on pilots and success criteria

  • Troubleshoot and work directly with end users as needed with any AIML tools in use

  • Daily use of predictive analytics and ingesting semi- and unstructured data to help clients with the AIML use cases

  • Expert guidance on architecting automated, fault-tolerant, scalable AWS environments adhering to AWS best practices for small and large initiatives

  • Data science background and experience manipulating/transforming data, model selection, model training, cross-validation and deployment at scale

  • Work directly with customers to identify requirements, develop deployment plans, outline architectures, and consult on best practices for agency-wide deployments.

  • Experience refactoring or rebuilding on-premise applications/infrastructure and migration to AWS cloud

  • Provide Functional Escalation Support and Expertise to the Incident Management Processes involving AWS Infrastructure or related issues 

  • Provide input and guidance to personnel and JHC Cloud Architects/SMEs to the overall AWS Architecture and Design tenets 

  • Compose and leverage AWS CloudFormation Templates for utilization, to ensure repeatable, sustainable AWS infrastructure is effectively managed 

  • Deploy, test and document development, pre-production, and production environments 

  • Capability to train and mentor junior resources 

  • Assist in preparing cost analysis based on expected usage 

  • Review and enhance documentation and knowledgebase

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum Education: B.A. or B.S. degree in related discipline or equivalent experience 

  • Minimum Years of Experience: Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in AIML and AWS Cloud with 10+ years in overall technical engineering 

  • Must have an AWS Professional-Level Certification 

  • Must be able to pass a background investigation

  • Experience documenting technical requirements

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient at multi-tasking and proactive in work responsibilities

  • Superior attention to detail

  • Passion for providing great customer service
